Amy and Glenn’s Sittella Winery wedding
Amy and Glenn loved the idea of the Swan Valley to host their wedding. Having decided that Sittella Winery was the perfect venue that fitted their wedding plans the best. Glenn’s parents lived in Carnarvon and Amy’s in Perth, with Amy and Glenn living in Geraldton, Sittella Winery was still the best option for everyone.
The Love Story So Far
We often hear how the universe is responsible for bringing two people together. Well Glenn and Amy had each decided to try to meet the love of their life the traditional way on a dating app. Their timing was to perfection!
Now we all know how people appear in their profiles is often vastly different to how they are in real life, so when Amy saw Glenn’s profile of him flexing his muscles in a gym, cuddling his dog Richie, and snowboarding on a mountain (that’s one heck of a photo montage Glenn) she was very interested to find out how true it all was! And Glenn, well he was very impressed with Amy’s big, beautiful smile and luscious brunette locks.
With Glenn living in Geraldton and Amy in Perth, they had to date over the phone, so they chatted, and it became a highlight of their day.
Now Glenn was booked to fly to New Zealand and Amy was heading to Europe. But after the connection they’d made, they thought it made sense to holiday together. So, Amy swapped her plane ticket… and their lives haven’t been the same since.
Over the years of knowing each other, Glenn and Amy have discovered not only a wonderful friendship but how compatible they are, and how awesome their life is together. They share similar life values and encourage each other to reach for their goals, and dreams of travelling the world together. They love spending time together dining out, and being with their fur baby Pippa. They support each other’s passions, with Glenn encouraging Amy on the snow and Amy still trying to convince, Glenn to have a go at the downward dog on the yoga mat!
The wedding day
The day Started with the girls getting ready at The Sebel in the Swan Valley. With the Groom and Groomsman and Groomswoman getting ready at the Swan Valley Sisters.
The groom and his groomsman were dressed by Germanicos Bespoke Tailors in Melbourne, while Amy’s amazing bridal dress was supplied from Brides Selection in Perth. Amy’s makeup artist was Haylee Maree Makeup Artist and hair stylist Perth Hair Design.
After the groom and bride preparation photos, Amy arrived in style at Sittella Winery in a classic Austin Princess limo.
The wedding ceremony
Amy decided to walk down the aisle by herself, after her two bridesmaids with Glenn standing in awe of his bride to be, walking towards him. Anne Miller did the official duties on the day and once again delivered a heartfelt ceremony for Glenn and Amy.
After the ceremony they walked back down the aisle together walking through the barrage of rose petals being thrown over these awesome lovers.
Wedding photography at Sittella Winery
As a wedding photographer I love Sittella Winery for photos it has some really amazing spots around the venue. You can also walk down the road to the river which has a different feel and the field across the road for those late afternoon photos just before sunset. The gates to the winery are also a popular photo to capture for the couples wedding photo gallery.
We did the family photos which are normally done directly after the wedding ceremony, before heading off to do the bridal party photos around Sittella Winery. We did have the option with the limo to go to other locations around the Swan Valley, but Sittella Winery has more than enough spots to get photos. Also being in the one location it is more relaxed for the bride and groom to enjoy their day.
The bridal party went into the wine cellar to have some drinks and canapés. I took Amy and Glenn across the road from Sittella Winery to the field which is great for late afternoon photos.
After the Bridal party entered the reception entrees and Main were served followed by the speeches. After all the speeches were finished the traditional cutting of the cake was done then doing the first dance a short time after, before I finished up at around 9:30pm.
